I watched a little boy at the airport late at night.   Probably six or seven years old, crawling around on the floor with a teddy bear in his hand. And my first thought was: my son would never have gotten away with that. And if he had, those hands would have been sanitized the moment he stood up. He could have joined a gang. He could have become a teen father. He could have fallen into drugs and the violence of the streets. He could have ended up in prison. He could have been shot dead. But he rose above it all to become a prosperous leader in the Saint Louis business and nonprofit communities.   Read more in *Twice Over a Man: A Fierce Memoir of an Orphan Boy Who Doggedly Determined a Finer Life*. --- Leadership Student, Washington University “Orvin creates an environment where every voice feels welcomed. Even in a structured setting, his approach fosters openness and connection.” --- Twice Over a Man was awarded the Silver Medal in the 2025 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. Your past matters.** It doesn’t have to decide your future. ### **Reclaim Personal Agency** We don’t control everything that happens to us. But we can recognize where we still have choices. **Reclaiming agency means trusting your voice, taking responsibility for what you can influence, and making your next move, even before you have every answer.**   ### **Rename Your Social Networks** Who we surround ourselves with shapes how we see ourselves and what we believe we can do. **Renaming your social networks means reconsidering the place people hold in your life. Who challenges you with care? Who helps you grow?** Where can you contribute? Build relationships that support who you are becoming. ### Your Next Move My faith reminds me that our lives hold purpose, even when the path is unclear. The Triple R Method™ brings that conviction into everyday life: how we think, the choices we make, and the relationships we build. ***Reframe your thinking. Reclaim your agency. Rename your social networks.*** [Explore the Blog](https://orvinkimbrough.com/blog?hsLang=en) ## Ready to level up your life with clarity, confidence, AND purpose? ![pexels-rdne-7092345](https://orvinkimbrough.com/hs-fs/hubfs/pexels-rdne-7092345.jpg?width=2000&name=pexels-rdne-7092345.jpg) #### The Thriver’s Path™ Growth Assessment Explore quick-read articles and videos on faith-aligned leadership, wholeness at work, and belonging-driven culture to help shape more human-centered workplaces.
