Today, I’m grateful for a sense of calm—something I’ve been cultivating over time, especially as a student of leadership and preparation. This week’s board meeting went remarkably smoothly. After several weeks of intense preparation, I entered the meeting with a deep sense of clarity and command.
What stood out to me most wasn’t the outcome—it was how I felt. I’m hot by nature, and typically in moments like this, I run warm physically and mentally. But even in a room with a faulty thermostat, I stayed cool—literally and figuratively. No need for a fan. No internal temperature spike. Just presence, clarity, and control.
That peace didn’t come by accident. It was the result of vision, understanding, and the time I invested. And for that, I’m truly grateful.
