I am grateful for my son—and for the quiet, powerful confirmation that generational change is real.
My son turns 21 in a couple of days. He got to town, and we sat on the patio after work and had an adult conversation—about life, relationships, responsibility.
At times, I caught myself staring at him in near disbelief. He came from me. He’s thoughtful, grounded, intentional. And I’m proud—deeply proud—of the man he is becoming.
I realized the vision I’ve long carried around responsible fatherhood… is beginning to come to life. And in that moment, I quietly prayed:
Lord, let it be true that we’ve changed the course of history for the Kimbrough name.
