I am grateful for my son’s birthday, our anniversary—and an understanding wife.
Today was packed: board meetings, storms in St. Louis, an anniversary dinner, and a concert. Let’s just say not everything went according to plan. At one point, I was huddled in a restroom with 40 other men during a weather delay.
By the time the meeting ended, I had missed dinner—but not the moment. I picked up my wife, and we made it to the concert. She extended grace.
I’m grateful for grace. The kind that doesn’t demand perfection—just presence.
