### ****Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:****

I recently reached out to Nancy about an upcoming event with the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition — a small but meaningful gathering where Sterling K. Brown will be in attendance. I shared my idea to create a visual display featuring my children’s books, Ward and the State and More Than a Conqueror, complete with a QR code so guests could pre-register and stay connected.

Nancy’s response was simple but powerful: “We’ll make it happen.”

Those four words reminded me that vision rarely becomes reality in isolation. It takes people who see what you see — sometimes even before it’s clear — and choose to lean in, build, and believe alongside you.

It’s a living example of what Paul wrote :

# “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6–7 (NIV)

That scripture captures it perfectly — vision requires both initiators and cultivators. Some of us plant, others water, but it’s God who brings the growth. Every time someone says, *“We’ll make it happen,”* they’re joining in that divine process of turning purpose into progress.

When you find people like that, you don’t take them for granted. You thank them.
