Gratitude Focus: Grateful For Rest, Reflection, and Renewed Focus

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Today we wrapped up our trip to Texas and returned home to St. Louis. I’m grateful for the time to get away and reset my focus toward the next six months. At the beginning of the year, I wrote a letter to myself envisioning what success would look like by mid-year. From a bank business standpoint, I’m proud—we’ve hit most of the marks.

But in reviewing my personal goals, I see a different story. Some milestones remain unmet. Still, I see opportunity. Time away gave me the space to reprioritize: this year I will release a hardcover version of Twice Over a Man and launch a Young Adult edition. I’ll push my leadership curriculum and next book into 2026—not as a failure, but as a focused recommitment.
