It’s hard to put into words what these past two days have meant. I walked away full of admiration and pride. I’ve learned from this team. I’ve sharpened my leadership because of this team. I’ve found my voice in part because of this team. This is the team that makes me better.
I didn’t step into banking entirely blind—I had served on the board—but leading in the day-to-day is something else entirely. This team has walked with me every step of the way.
One of the most memorable reflections came from a seasoned executive who said, “What an amazing thing time and experience does.” That simple truth hit deep. The room looks and feels different now—but our purpose is the same, maybe even more clear:
We bank Main Street. We bank the people who build this nation—including those who’ve too often been unseen.
This gathering was warm, meaningful, and real. We didn’t just align on strategy—we encountered one another. We reflected, we led, we connected.
