Gratitude Focus: Grateful For Unexpected Reunions

Written by Orvin Kimbrough | June 02, 2026

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Tonight, I attended a beautiful evening of opera at Webster University—dinner under a glowing tent, meaningful conversation, and stirring performances. But what truly stood out was an unexpected reunion.

I ran into Kate M., someone I hadn’t seen in nearly a decade. Kate is a force—focused, particular, and deeply committed to whatever she touches. We caught up like no time had passed. She’s now lending her talents to support this event, and our connection was warm and authentic.

Today, I’m grateful for the way life brings people back around when you least expect it—and for the enduring grace of those who stay true to who they are.
