Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:
I’m grateful for the growth and elevation of people I’ve had the honor of walking with.
I received a call from one of my board members letting me know he’s stepping down soon to join the board of a larger organization in our industry. And while it may sound like a loss, I see it as a win. It wasn’t unexpected. When I brought him in, I told him this would be a steppingstone—that once people discovered his gifts, the sky would be the limit. I’ve known him for over 20 years, and he’s always been in my “fav five.” I saw God working in him long ago, and I spoke life over him then. Watching those words take shape over time is a reminder that God honors the seeds we sow in others.
Scripture
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Who’s in your “fav five” that needs a word of encouragement from you today?
