Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:
Today began with a walk on the beach, a moment of peace. But as I returned to our building, I saw my wife talking urgently to our daughter on the phone. Our daughter, traveling overseas, was experiencing a medical emergency. The next four hours were a blur of calls, messages, and prayers. Thankfully—gratefully—she is now stable. Still, I can’t help but feel the frustration that young people often don’t heed the wisdom shared with them. We want them to learn, to explore, to grow—but we also hope they listen, so they don’t fall into preventable traps. Today, I’m grateful she is okay. I’m also praying for breakthrough—for her and for all young people—to learn from those who’ve walked before them.
Scripture:
“Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days.” —Proverbs 19:20
Whose wisdom have you been resisting and what would it take to receive it with open hands and an open heart?
