A key official said to me this week, “Each time I’ve seen you, you’ve said business is good and growth is on plan.” I hadn’t realized how often I’ve said that, but it’s true—and I’m proud of what our team has accomplished. Still, I’ve learned that even genuine success can make people uncomfortable. Sometimes, we’re trained to expect struggle, and when things go well, we doubt it or downplay it. But I’ve come to believe it’s okay to give thanks for the seasons of fruitfulness—especially when they’re built on steady, disciplined work and not financial gymnastics.
