It was the first day of our Leadership Summit—a moment not just to set the tone for the coming days, but to sow seeds that will shape the next several years. I woke up early and reread the materials we prepared. It was probably my third pass through them, but I did it to ensure I showed up with clarity, perspective, and intentional direction for the team.
What followed was four hours of deep immersion—talking about strategy, vision, mission, purpose—and, more importantly, listening and engaging with our assembled leaders. I reminded the team that they are the living, breathing strategy. Strategy isn’t what we write down—it’s what we do. It’s our collective behavior, our commitment, our execution. I challenged them to get the strategy inside of them—so deep that it shapes how they show up and lead, and how they help others connect the dots between their roles, our key performance indicators, and our scoreboard.
These are the days that sharpen perspective and energize purpose.
