Gratitude Focus: Today, I’m GratefulFor Unexpected Invitations

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Today, I’m grateful for unexpected invitations that align perfectly with the intentions I quietly set in motion and for a God who doesn’t always work mysteriously, but methodically.

I received a message from a respected bank group asking me to chair a significant initiative—one that would put me in conversation with top economic policy makers. Fascinating. Who would have thought the “accidental banker” would be asked to do that?

Just a few weeks ago, I had shared with a leader I admire that I wanted—and needed—to double click into becoming an even more informed banker and leader. I asked her to coach me. And now, this opportunity shows up. I don’t believe that’s coincidence.

God knows how I learn best: not through theory, but through experience. By doing. By being in the room. This isn’t some vague divine mystery—it’s intentional preparation, precise timing, and purpose unfolding.

Scripture
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

— Psalm 37:23 (KJV)

What desire have you quietly placed before God or a trusted mentor, that’s now showing signs of unfolding? Are you ready to learn by doing?
