Gratitude Focus: Grateful For Connection And Clarity

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

I am grateful for how God connects moments that seem unrelated to bring deeper clarity.

Two conversations today—one before a board meeting, the other after a concert—seemed unrelated. But spiritually, they were aligned.

The first reminded me that leadership is not about the quick applause—it’s about staying power when things get hard. The second—an old friend sharing her financial struggles despite being highly educated—reminded me of the realities many face.

There’s so much I can’t control. But I know what I can do: count it all joy, show up, and keep praying.

Let’s keep praying—
For our city.
For our people.
For our leaders.
For those silently suffering whose names we may never know.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."
James 1:2–3

Where in your life is God asking you to stay present, to trust the long game, and to lead through the quiet, unglamorous middle?

Question for Reflection

Hi, I’m Orvin Kimbrough, volunteer, board director, chairman, and CEO. I help professionals move from feeling stuck to being strengthened by reshaping how they think, lead, and live.
