Gratitude Focus: I’m Grateful My Daughter Is Headed Home From London

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

My daughter was supposed to travel to London and then Greece, but on the front end of her trip she got sick. While the group she was traveling with continued on to Greece, she ended up in an emergency room in London. That was one of the scariest experiences of my life, being a world away without a guaranteed connection.

Thank God, she got better. But there’s something powerful about knowing your child is returning home. No matter how old they get or how far they go, a parent’s heart never stops anticipating their return, especially after a crisis, no matter how brief. Just the thought of her coming home fills me with peace and gratitude. I have assured connection now, I can reach her more easily if needed.
